About Us: Cutesy Cloths was born out of pure necessity! When I was pregnant with our first child (now 6 1/2) a friend gave us two of the most precious burp cloths I had ever seen! She had sewn ribbon on them, and they were so cute. That next week I went out and bought ribbon and sent it to my mom for her to embellish the plain burp cloths we'd received! When Emily Claire was around 6 months old, I bought my first baby item off eBay--a diaper tote. I was so excited and looked forward to carrying a cute bag, but when it arrived, disappointment set in. The stitching was loose and bumpy, and, overall, the workmanship was shoddy. I knew right then and there that I could do a much better job. My mom came for a visit several weeks later and brought her sewing machine. Cutesy Cloths was born! That weekend she showed me how to make a bag and sew ribbon on burp cloths. Soon after, I invested in a sewing machine of my own and started sewing. After I got comfortable with my sewing technique, I began giving a bag set at baby showers. From then on it was no question what I was bringing to a baby shower! About a year after using my standard machine, I purchased a sewing/embroidery machine combo. I wanted to personalize everything! Because of all the word of mouth business I was getting, my husband and I decided to launch this website. Also, please know when you order something from Cutesy Cloths, I take personal pride in sewing every stitch.
